We purposely opted to convert the reports that can be made in the application into a pdf format and not directly to MS Word. This has to do with the open source technology: it is poorly supported by MS Windows. The many different MS Word versions would lead to an unreliable and difficult to manage converter. For this reason we prefer to use continuously supported converter technology.
Now it may sometimes be desirable to obtain an MS Word file for further editing. From MS Word 2013 onwards, pdf's can be read directly. The results can be inconsistent though. The online pdf converters often do better.
It is recommended that online converters should not be used for business-critical documents.
